A genus which contains some of the best and worst of all the fungi. A few are edible and good, a few are deadly poisonous. It takes a bit of courage and, much more important, a certain amount of accurate knowledge, to know which is which. However, this is not difficult as the characteristics of the edible and deadly species are distinct and visible to the naked eye.
